How I help

I help individuals and teams understand how AI can genuinely support everyday professional work. The focus is on building practical AI literacy, so people are not just shown examples, but learn how to think about and work with AI independently.

AI is moving very quickly, and many people feel they are always slightly behind. Part of my role is to help people understand what is worth paying attention to, what can be safely ignored, and how to stay reasonably up to date without needing to constantly chase new tools or trends.

You do not need any prior experience with AI. If you are already using it a little, I can help you use it more clearly, consistently, and with greater confidence.

Who this is for

This work is aimed at professionals and teams who feel that AI could be useful but are unsure how to move from curiosity to practical use.

You might be:

Curious about AI but unsure how it applies to your role and everyday tasks

• Using AI occasionally but think you could do more

Finding it hard to keep up with how quickly things are changing

• Looking for calm, practical guidance rather than hype or noise

I work with small to medium organisations, charities, NGOs, and professional teams, including those working in regulated or governance heavy environments.

What I offer

Small group sessions designed to help people get oriented with AI together. These sessions set out the current AI landscape in clear, practical terms, introduce core principles for sensible and responsible use, and explore common questions around accuracy, privacy, and data handling.

The focus is on building shared understanding through practical examples and discussion, helping participants develop confidence, good judgement, and a realistic sense of where AI can be useful in their everyday work.

Introductory AI sessions

Flexible workshops designed to support teams in using AI well in their everyday work. Sessions can be shaped to focus more on practical application, such as writing, summarising, planning, and reviewing information, or more on building shared understanding, judgement, and confidence in how AI is used across a team.

The emphasis is always on clarity, responsible use, and developing AI literacy that teams can carry forward independently as tools and practices continue to evolve.

About the free introductory session

I regularly offer free 45 minute introductory sessions at set times for individuals or small groups.

These sessions are designed to help people:
• Cut through the noise around AI
• See how AI can be used in straightforward, everyday ways
• Decide whether further training would be useful for them or their team

There is no obligation to continue. The aim is simply to help you decide whether this approach is right for you.

About me - Dr. Adam Pedley

I work in a UK university setting as a clinical trial manager, with over ten years experience working in complex professional environments where accuracy, judgement, and good governance matter.

Alongside this, I have several years experience as a university tutor, teaching mathematics and statistics to adult learners. This teaching background strongly shapes how I approach AI training. The focus is on clarity, structure, and helping people genuinely understand what they are doing, rather than simply following instructions or copying examples.

Over the past few years, I have supported teams and individuals to make sense of AI in a practical, grounded way.

My aim is always to help people build confidence and judgement they can carry forward independently, even as the technology continues to change.

This training is delivered independently in my own time and capacity.
